Fira de Santa Llúcia, the most iconic Christmas market
Since 1786, Avinguda de la Catedral has filled every winter with around 300 stalls selling nativity figures, “tions,” moss, crafts, and Christmas products. It’s Catalonia’s oldest Christmas market and one of the longest-running in Europe. International dance at the Gran Teatre del Liceu
From December 8 to 12, the Badisches Staatsballett Karlsruhe presents “The Nutcracker” on the stage of the Liceu, a temple of opera and dance since 1847. Five unique performances for anyone seeking a high-culture getaway. Check the full program here.

In late November, Barcelona switches on its Christmas lights with a spectacular light show on Passeig de Gràcia, along with a new generation of designer lighting transforming streets like Balmes, Aragó, and La Rambla.
