Every spring, Barcelona fills with style, creativity and joy thanks to one of its most original events: the “Passejada amb Barrets” (Hat Parade). This unique celebration takes place on the iconic Rambla de Catalunya, right next to our Hotel Continental Palacete, inviting guests and locals alike to stroll wearing all kinds of hats, transforming the street into an open-air runway of creativity and originality.
A tribute to elegance and creativity
The “Passejada amb Barrets” is an event open to everyone — a space for creativity, personal expression and enjoyment. Whether you prefer classic elegance or bold extravagance — a cap or a top hat, a beret or a bowler, a cocktail hat or a turban — this is your moment to shine and be part of a truly special atmosphere.
Throughout the day, you will discover a wide variety of styles, from sophisticated designs to artistic and original creations. Each participant brings their own personality, creating a vibrant visual spectacle full of colour and character. A true meeting point where the common thread is the hat in all its forms and expressions.
A tradition with history and international reach
Organised by Barcelona-based milliners Cristina de Prada and Nina Pawlowsky, the Hat Parade held its first edition in 2005.
Thanks to its unique character, the event has grown year after year, gaining popularity and becoming a highlight of Barcelona’s spring calendar. Its success has even inspired similar events in other cities around the world.
2026 edition: a must-see spring event
The 22nd edition of the Passejada amb Barrets will take place on Sunday, 12 April 2026 at 12:00 pm.
The meeting point will be, as tradition dictates, on Rambla de Catalunya at the intersection with Avinguda Diagonal (Jirafa Coqueta), from where the parade will begin, heading towards Plaça Catalunya, where it will end around 2:00 pm.
During this route, the city becomes a lively stage where fashion, culture and community come together in a festive and elegant atmosphere.
