Where handmade creations and timeless tradition tell the story of Spain
High on Montjuïc Hill, just a few minutes from the heart of Barcelona, lies one of the city’s most unique and charming places: Poble Espanyol. Built for the 1929 International Exhibition, this open-air architectural museum recreates the architecture, art, and daily life of different regions of Spain.
But beyond its architectural beauty, Poble Espanyol is a place where craftsmanship comes to life — a real village inhabited by creators who make and sell their works with passion and mastery. Discover it here!

A Journey into Authenticity
Walking through the streets of Poble Espanyol is like stepping into a miniature Spain. Its squares, courtyards, and narrow streets recreate architectural styles from all over the country — from Andalusia to Galicia, passing through Castile and Aragon.
However, what truly sets this place apart is its vibrant, creative atmosphere. You will not find simple souvenir shops here, but open workshops where artisans work in front of visitors, keeping alive trades that are becoming increasingly rare elsewhere.
The Artisans of Poble Espanyol: Hands that Create with Soul
Poble Espanyol is home to more than thirty artisans who practice crafts as diverse as ceramics, glassblowing, jewelry, leatherwork, engraving, painting, sculpture, and textiles. Each of them offers unique, handmade pieces created with high-quality materials and deep respect for tradition.
Visitors can watch the creative process live, talk with the artists, and purchase their works directly — turning every purchase into an authentic and personalized experience.
The products you’ll find here are true gifts of quality, originality, and local provenance, ideal for taking home a genuine memory of Barcelona or surprising someone with a meaningful handmade present.

A Place to Discover, Learn and Enjoy as a Family
In addition to visiting the workshops and shops, Poble Espanyol offers hands-on activities and workshops for children and families, where little ones can try their hand at ceramics, glass, or painting — discovering the joy of creating with their own hands.
These experiences make it a perfect place to spend a different kind of morning or afternoon, learning and enjoying in a safe, educational, and enchanting environment.

A Complete Experience: Art, Tradition, and Fine Dining
Your visit to Poble Espanyol can be complemented with a meal at Font de Prades Restaurant, located inside the venue, where you can enjoy Catalan cuisine in a setting with beautiful views.
Moreover, if you book a table at this restaurant, entry to Poble Espanyol is free — a detail that makes the experience even more appealing.
