De Casa Vicens a las plazas de Gr\u00e0cia, un recorrido con historia<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Antes de que su nombre se convirtiera en icono de Barcelona, antes de la Sagrada Familia, antes de Casa Batll\u00f3 o Parc G\u00fcell, hubo una casa de veraneo encargada por un corredor de bolsa a un arquitecto de apenas 31 a\u00f1os. Esa casa se llama Casa Vicens<\/a>, y en ella ya est\u00e1 todo Gaud\u00ed: la audacia crom\u00e1tica, la obsesi\u00f3n por la naturaleza, la artesan\u00eda elevada a categor\u00eda de arte. Descubrirla es asomarse al momento exacto en que un genio empieza a serlo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un encargo, un manifiesto<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Corr\u00eda 1883 cuando Manuel Vicens i Montaner encarg\u00f3 a un joven Antoni Gaud\u00ed una casa de veraneo en el entonces pueblo de Gr\u00e0cia, todav\u00eda independiente de Barcelona. Construida entre 1883 y 1885, la obra se convirti\u00f3 en el primer gran proyecto residencial del arquitecto y, con el tiempo, en una de las piezas fundacionales del modernismo catal\u00e1n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gaud\u00ed no parti\u00f3 de cero: se inspir\u00f3 en el terreno mismo, cubierto de flores de cal\u00e9ndula silvestres que despu\u00e9s reprodujo en la cer\u00e1mica de la fachada, y en las palmeras del jard\u00edn original, que tambi\u00e9n dejaron su huella en la decoraci\u00f3n interior. El resultado es una arquitectura que dialoga con neomud\u00e9jar, orientalismo y una paleta de color que en su \u00e9poca resultaba casi provocadora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Una casa que se lee como un libro<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Recorrer Casa Vicens es leer los primeros cap\u00edtulos del lenguaje gaudiniano. La fachada, revestida de azulejos verdes y blancos con motivos vegetales, ya anuncia esa fusi\u00f3n entre estructura y ornamento que definir\u00eda toda su obra posterior. En el interior, el fumador, con su techo de moc\u00e1rabes inspirado en la Alhambra, y el comedor, decorado con hojas de higuera pintadas a mano, muestran a un arquitecto capaz de convertir cada rinc\u00f3n en una experiencia sensorial completa y memorable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La casa fue habitada durante m\u00e1s de 130 a\u00f1os antes de que el banco andorrano MoraBanc adquiriera el edificio en 2014 e impulsara una restauraci\u00f3n que devolvi\u00f3 su esplendor original. Abierta al p\u00fablico como museo desde noviembre de 2017, hoy permite visitar las cuatro plantas del edificio, incluida la azotea, con vistas privilegiadas sobre los tejados de Gr\u00e0cia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Casa Vicens forma parte de las Obras de Antoni Gaud\u00ed reconocidas por la UNESCO como Patrimonio de la Humanidad desde 2005, un reconocimiento que sit\u00faa a esta primera obra al mismo nivel que sus creaciones m\u00e1s c\u00e9lebres. Se encuentra en el n\u00famero 20-26 de la calle de les Carolines, en pleno coraz\u00f3n de Gr\u00e0cia, y el horario de invierno (noviembre a marzo) es de 9.30 h a 18.00 h todos los d\u00edas excepto el 25 de diciembre. La entrada general ronda los 21 \u20ac en visita libre y los 24 \u20ac en visita guiada, con reducciones para estudiantes, mayores de 65 a\u00f1os, familias numerosas o monoparentales y personas con diversidad funcional.
