<\/figure>\n\n\n\nEl v\u00ednculo del Sagrado Coraz\u00f3n del Tibidabo con la familia Malagarriga<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\nEl Tibidabo es un lugar profundamente ligado a la historia de nuestra familia Malagarriga. A finales de los a\u00f1os 50, nuestro padre: Jos\u00e9 M\u00aa Malagarriga Miralbell, asumi\u00f3 la direcci\u00f3n de varios establecimientos vinculados a la familia Andreu, entre ellos el emblem\u00e1tico Hotel La Mas\u00eda del Tibidabo, el Hotel Florida y todos los puntos de restauraci\u00f3n del parque de atracciones. As\u00ed que vivimos de cerca la inauguraci\u00f3n del Templo Expiatorio del Sagrado Coraz\u00f3n en 1961, la expansi\u00f3n del parque en los a\u00f1os 70 y la implantaci\u00f3n de iniciativas muy innovadoras para la \u00e9poca como el primer buf\u00e9 llamado \u201cla Taula Catalana\u201d que, junto a mi madre, estrenaron en el restaurante La Mas\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
El origen del templo marcado por el contexto hist\u00f3rico<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\nA finales del siglo XIX, la monta\u00f1a del Tibidabo era objeto de inter\u00e9s para diversos proyectos, incluyendo la posible construcci\u00f3n de un templo protestante y un hotel-casino. En ese contexto, surgi\u00f3 una iniciativa impulsada por sectores cat\u00f3licos para consagrar la monta\u00f1a al Sagrado Coraz\u00f3n de Jes\u00fas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\nEn 1886, el propietario de los terrenos, Salvador Andreu, cedi\u00f3 el espacio en 1886 al sacerdote italiano Juan Bosco (canonizado en 1934). Bosco estaba entonces de visita en Barcelona invitado por Dorotea de Chopitea, gran mecenas y promotora del proyecto, as\u00ed se levant\u00f3 una peque\u00f1a ermita provisional. Este gesto marc\u00f3 el inicio del proyecto del templo expiatorio, entendido como un acto de fe y de reparaci\u00f3n espiritual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Construcci\u00f3n y arquitectura: una obra de largo recorrido<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/blog.hotelcontinental.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-4.png\")
<\/figure>\n\n\n\nLa construcci\u00f3n del templo comenz\u00f3 en 1902 bajo la direcci\u00f3n del arquitecto Enric Sagnier, uno de los m\u00e1s prol\u00edficos de Barcelona, y fue finalizada en 1961 por su hijo, Josep Maria Sagnier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
El conjunto arquitect\u00f3nico est\u00e1 formado por dos niveles:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n- La cripta inferior<\/strong>, de estilo neorrom\u00e1nico, construida con piedra de Montju\u00efc y decorada con ricos mosaicos, que evocan escenas religiosas y tradiciones locales<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- El templo superior<\/strong>, de estilo neog\u00f3tico, que se eleva verticalmente reforzando la idea de ascensi\u00f3n espiritual.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
En la parte m\u00e1s alta se sit\u00faa la emblem\u00e1tica escultura del Sagrado Coraz\u00f3n, obra de Frederic Mar\u00e8s, que sustituye a una anterior destruida durante la Guerra Civil espa\u00f1ola. La imagen actual, con los brazos abiertos, simboliza la acogida y protecci\u00f3n sobre la ciudad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tras el conflicto, se llev\u00f3 a cabo un proceso de reconstrucci\u00f3n que culmin\u00f3 con la instalaci\u00f3n de la nueva escultura en 1950 y la finalizaci\u00f3n definitiva del templo en 1961.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n\n\n\nM\u00e1s all\u00e1 de su dimensi\u00f3n religiosa, el templo es tambi\u00e9n uno de los mejores miradores de la ciudad. Desde su ubicaci\u00f3n en la sierra de Collserola, ofrece una panor\u00e1mica excepcional que permite comprender la extensi\u00f3n y diversidad de Barcelona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Le recomendamos subir hasta el Sagrado Coraz\u00f3n en el ascensor y maravillarse con las vistas 360 grados de toda la ciudad y, si es un d\u00eda claro, incluso se pueden ver las Baleares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A finales del siglo XIX, la monta\u00f1a del Tibidabo era objeto de inter\u00e9s para diversos proyectos, incluyendo la posible construcci\u00f3n de un templo protestante y un hotel-casino. En ese contexto, surgi\u00f3 una iniciativa impulsada por sectores cat\u00f3licos para consagrar la monta\u00f1a al Sagrado Coraz\u00f3n de Jes\u00fas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n En 1886, el propietario de los terrenos, Salvador Andreu, cedi\u00f3 el espacio en 1886 al sacerdote italiano Juan Bosco (canonizado en 1934). Bosco estaba entonces de visita en Barcelona invitado por Dorotea de Chopitea, gran mecenas y promotora del proyecto, as\u00ed se levant\u00f3 una peque\u00f1a ermita provisional. Este gesto marc\u00f3 el inicio del proyecto del templo expiatorio, entendido como un acto de fe y de reparaci\u00f3n espiritual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n La construcci\u00f3n del templo comenz\u00f3 en 1902 bajo la direcci\u00f3n del arquitecto Enric Sagnier, uno de los m\u00e1s prol\u00edficos de Barcelona, y fue finalizada en 1961 por su hijo, Josep Maria Sagnier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n El conjunto arquitect\u00f3nico est\u00e1 formado por dos niveles:<\/p>\n\n\n\n En la parte m\u00e1s alta se sit\u00faa la emblem\u00e1tica escultura del Sagrado Coraz\u00f3n, obra de Frederic Mar\u00e8s, que sustituye a una anterior destruida durante la Guerra Civil espa\u00f1ola. La imagen actual, con los brazos abiertos, simboliza la acogida y protecci\u00f3n sobre la ciudad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tras el conflicto, se llev\u00f3 a cabo un proceso de reconstrucci\u00f3n que culmin\u00f3 con la instalaci\u00f3n de la nueva escultura en 1950 y la finalizaci\u00f3n definitiva del templo en 1961.<\/p>\n\n\n\n M\u00e1s all\u00e1 de su dimensi\u00f3n religiosa, el templo es tambi\u00e9n uno de los mejores miradores de la ciudad.
