Hoy, 29 de julio, se celebra la festividad de Santa Marta<\/strong>, reconocida como patrona de la hosteler\u00eda<\/strong>. Su figura, profundamente vinculada al arte de acoger, servir y cuidar del hogar, resuena con especial fuerza en el coraz\u00f3n de quienes trabajan en el mundo de la restauraci\u00f3n y la hospitalidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 Santa Marta es la patrona de la hosteler\u00eda?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

El nombre Marta significa \u201cse\u00f1ora\u201d o \u201cjefa del hogar\u201d, y en los textos b\u00edblicos se la presenta como una mujer activa, generosa y hospitalaria. Viv\u00eda en Betania<\/strong>, un peque\u00f1o pueblo a las afueras de Jerusal\u00e9n, junto a su hermana Mar\u00eda y su hermano L\u00e1zaro. El Evangelio recoge con ternura que Jes\u00fas amaba especialmente a esta familia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cuando Jes\u00fas y sus disc\u00edpulos viajaban por Judea, encontraban siempre en la casa de Marta un refugio seguro, una habitaci\u00f3n preparada y una acogida sincera. Marta se ocupaba de atender a sus hu\u00e9spedes con esmero: preparaba la comida, organizaba el hogar y ofrec\u00eda descanso a quienes llegaban. Por ello, se considera un ejemplo de dedicaci\u00f3n al servicio, atenci\u00f3n a los detalles y generosidad hospitalaria<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mientras ella sirve sin descanso, su hermana Mar\u00eda se sienta a los pies del Maestro para escucharle. Cuando Marta expresa su frustraci\u00f3n, Jes\u00fas le responde con dulzura:
\u201cMarta, Marta, te afanas y te preocupas por muchas cosas. Solo una cosa es necesaria. Mar\u00eda ha escogido la mejor parte.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Con estas palabras, Jes\u00fas no reprende su labor, sino que la invita a encontrar tambi\u00e9n tiempo para lo esencial. La Cofrad\u00eda de Santa Marta en Barcelona<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

En Barcelona, Santa Marta tiene un lugar especial desde el siglo XV. La Cofrad\u00eda de Santa Marta<\/strong>, fundada en 1434, tiene su sede en la majestuosa bas\u00edlica de Santa Maria del Mar<\/strong>,<\/a> donde se encuentra un altar dedicado a la santa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Este templo g\u00f3tico, ubicado en el barrio de la Ribera, fue construido gracias al esfuerzo colectivo de los vecinos y vecinas del puerto. En especial, se recuerda la labor de los bastaixos<\/strong>, quienes cargaron sobre sus espaldas las piedras desde Montju\u00efc hasta el coraz\u00f3n del barrio. Santa Maria del Mar simboliza, como Santa Marta, el valor del trabajo an\u00f3nimo y la fuerza de la comunidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hoy m\u00e1s que nunca, Santa Marta representa los valores que definen a los que nos dedicamos a la hosteler\u00eda: dedicaci\u00f3n, calidez, entrega, cuidado y vocaci\u00f3n de servicio<\/strong>. La familia Malagarriga Vallet<\/strong>, propietaria del Hotel Continental, mantiene una tradici\u00f3n hotelera que se remonta a 1826<\/strong>. <\/a>Todas las generaciones que nos han precedido, y tambi\u00e9n las actuales, forman parte de la Cofrad\u00eda de Santa Marta: <\/strong>un gesto que expresa nuestro compromiso profesional, nuestra orgullo de pertenecer a una familia con casi dos siglos de tradici\u00f3n en el sector y, c\u00f3mo no, el v\u00ednculo espiritual con esta figura inspiradora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Por eso hoy asistiremos a la misa en la bas\u00edlica de Santa Mar\u00eda del Mar, donde en el altar se dar\u00e1 la bienvenida a nuevos miembros cofrades y posteriormente cenaremos en el Hotel Rey Don Jaime de Castelldefels para seguir celebrando y compartiendo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
