Descubre la pasi\u00f3n de nuestra familia por el automovilismo desde 1925<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Queremos dedicar este art\u00edculo a nuestro abuelo materno, Luis G. Vallet Arnau quien ten\u00eda una gran pasi\u00f3n por los coches y las carreras. Tambi\u00e9n a su nieto, Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda, actual director general de Hotel Continental y Hotel Continental Palacete que ha heredado esta afici\u00f3n, participando en diversos rallyes gracias al patrocinio del Hotel Continental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\u00a1Un antecedente hist\u00f3rico de bandera!<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Carrera de Luis Vallet en el aut\u00f3dromo de Terramar en 1925<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n
Gracias al cuidado de la familia, podemos leer hoy en la legendaria revista Stadium<\/em> la publicaci\u00f3n del a\u00f1o 1925 en la que se destacan las pruebas automovil\u00edsticas que tuvieron lugar en el aut\u00f3dromo de Terramar, ubicado en Sitges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Durante esta jornada, se llevaron a cabo competiciones con coches Bugatti, en las que particip\u00f3 nuestro abuelo materno, Luis G. Vallet Arnau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Luis Vallet fue parte de las pruebas eliminatorias para coches de 1.500 c.c. y tambi\u00e9n estuvo en las de 2.000 c.c. En una de las carreras de 1.500 c.c., se enfrent\u00f3 a Cera, quien tom\u00f3 la delantera tras la salida, completando los 20 kil\u00f3metros en 15 minutos y 11 segundos a una velocidad de 78 km\/h.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Posteriormente, particip\u00f3 en las competiciones de 2.000 c.c., donde compiti\u00f3 contra Fernando de Vizcaya en una emocionante carrera con virajes dif\u00edciles y alcanzando velocidades de hasta 145 km\/h. Fue en esta emocionante carrera donde perdi\u00f3 una de las ruedas de su Bugatti y, \u00a1lo m\u00e1s impresionante es que conservamos la secuencia en estas fotos!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Nos ilusiona compartir contigo esta parte del pasado de nuestra familia, poniendo en valor la habilidad que mi abuelo ten\u00eda como piloto y su participaci\u00f3n en el inicio de los grandes eventos automovil\u00edsticos de la \u00e9poca, siendo parte de la \u00e9lite del automovilismo en Catalu\u00f1a.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a1Y la afici\u00f3n continua! Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda, actual director general del Hotel Continental y del Continental Palacet, ha heredado la habilidad y el talento de la conducci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Desde muy jovencito ha participado en numerosos rallyes como el famoso \u201cCosta Brava\u201d, el de hielo en Andorra y otros muchos que le han llevado a disfrutar de una de sus grandes pasiones: la conducci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
El Hotel Continental ha sido su fiel patrocinador haciendo posible que el mantenimiento y la participaci\u00f3n en estas carreras que tantas alegr\u00edas y satisfacciones nos han dado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
