A new equipment in the city of Barcelona. Yesterday the new cultural centre opened Born. This is, without doubt, a building with history. The neighbourhood residents have always defended the building of the Mercat del Born, a jewel of Barcelona’s architecture.<\/p>\n
For years it has been discussed which should be the new use of the Mercat del Born (Born Market), finally decided to locate the Library Provincial of Barcelona.<\/p>\n
Once started the rehabilitation works they found a important archaeological site in the market underground. So they had to stop work to start archaeological excavation.<\/p>\n
After many years of work and debate finally yesterday we could attend the opening of the Cultural Centre Born with the site as the central axis and the old market building as a luxury container.<\/p>\n
We inform you that until 29th September you can visit the centre for free, then the entry will be 6, \u00a0a price that worth be paid to know a little more about the history of the city.<\/p>\n
Un nuevo equipamiento en la ciudad de Barcelona. Ayer inauguraron el nuevo centro cultural Born. Este es, sin duda, un edificio con historia. Durante a\u00f1os los vecinos del barrio han defendido el edificio del Mercat del Born, una joya de la arquitectura barcelonesa.<\/p>\n
Durante a\u00f1os se discuti\u00f3 cual deb\u00eda ser el nuevo uso del Mercat del Born, finalmente se opt\u00f3 por ubicar la Biblioteca Provicincial de Barcelona.<\/p>\n
Una vez iniciadas las obras de rehabilitaci\u00f3n se encontraron con un importante yacimiento bajo el suelo del mercado. As\u00ed que tuvieron que detener las obras para empezar la excavaci\u00f3n arqueol\u00f3gica.<\/p>\n
Despu\u00e9s de muchos a\u00f1os de trabajo y de debates finalmente ayer pudimos asistir a la inauguraci\u00f3n del Born Centre Cultural, con el yacimiento como eje vertebrador y el edificio del antiguo mercado como contenedor de lujo de un mundo de creaci\u00f3n cultural.<\/p>\n
