A new edition to rediscover the history and beauty of Barcelona’s most emblematic hotels
From November 27 to 30, 2025, Barcelona will once again open the doors of its Monument Hotels in the fourth edition of this successful initiative organized by the Gremi d’Hotels de Barcelona.
For four days, residents and visitors alike will have the opportunity to step inside the most remarkable spaces of hotels distinguished for their architectural, historical, and cultural value, such as our very own Hotel Continental Palacete.
Discover the Hotel Continental Palacete on November 27 and enjoy live music with “The Summer Lovers”
Thursday, November 27 is the date reserved for the Hotel Continental Palacete Tour, during which we will share the story of our establishment and its connection to the Malagarriga family, hoteliers for more than eight generations in Barcelona.
Located on Rambla de Catalunya, at the corner with Carrer Diputació, the Palacete is a nineteenth-century mansion that preserves all the splendor of bourgeois Barcelona: ornate ceilings, crystal chandeliers, decorative moldings, and unique family furnishings. Its warm and elegant atmosphere transports visitors to another era while remaining welcoming and familiar.
During the event, guests will discover the building’s history, its connection to the development of the Eixample district, and the architectural features that make it deserving of the Monument Hotel distinction.
Free guided tours with limited capacity
The tours will take place in small groups of up to 15 people and will last approximately 30 minutes.
The Hotel Continental Palacete will offer four guided sessions at the following times:

A musical evening with “The Summer Lovers”
As a special complement to the visit, the Hotel Continental Palacete will host a live music performance by The Summer Lovers, an international band founded in Barcelona in 2014 and composed of some of the city’s most prominent musicians.
Led by Rhys Pyefinch, London-born singer and saxophonist, The Summer Lovers pay tribute to great jazz and swing legends such as Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong, and Frank Sinatra, taking audiences back to the golden years of stylish, vibrant music. Defined by their sophisticated and joyful style, their show is a true burst of energy and musical quality. Throughout their career, they have performed in Madrid, San Sebastián, and Santander, at festivals such as the Jardins de Pedralbes Festival and the Jazz & Beer Festival in Barcelona, and in countries including Italy, France, and Montenegro.
Their performance at the Palacete will offer an even more special experience—where music and history come together to celebrate beauty and the joy of sharing.
