Spring arrives in Barcelona with one of its most joyful and unique traditions: the Passejada amb Barret (Barcelona Hat Walk).
Every year since 2005, hundreds of people gather on Rambla de Catalunya, proudly wearing all kinds of hats: elegant, extravagant, classic, or creative. A celebration open to every style, welcoming the new season in the most original way.
The Passejada amb Barret was created by Barcelona-based milliners Cristina de Prada and Nina Pawlowsky, and over the years, it has gained popularity, inspiring similar events in other cities around the world.
In 2025, the event will celebrate its 21st edition, and, as always, the meeting point will be Rambla de Catalunya, at the height of the Girafa Coqueta sculpture (near Diagonal Avenue), starting at 12:00 p.m.
The walk will end at Plaça de Catalunya at 2:00 p.m.
How to participate?
It’s very simple! To join this colourful and stylish celebration, all you need to do is wear a hat, cap, beret, or any head accessory you like.
Participation is free of charge, no prior registration is required, and everyone is welcome, regardless of the style or extravagance of their hat.
Whether you prefer classic elegance or bold creativity, this is your chance to enjoy the most vibrant atmosphere of Barcelona’s spring.
