Barcelona has been chosen as Mobile World Capital for the 2012 to 2018 period. The city will be a permanent technological and cultural center with a goal boost and create new business opportunities and global awareness of the potential of mobile communications. This is one of Barcelona’s top international business events and a very busy week for Barcelona.
Over 65,000 industry leaders and visitors attended the 2012 event so expectations are high for 2013. The location of the MWC in Barcelona changes from the exhibition center Fira Montjuic to Fira Gran Via trade show venue, which is just south of the city on the way to Barcelona airport.
