History of The MICHELIN Guide Spain & Portugal
Hotel Continental is proud to be part of this history, of being among an exclusive club of hotels. The first edition of The MICHELIN guide Spain & Portugal was published in 1910. Its 164 pages collected information of 61 hotels and 159 towns in Spain, Portugal and France.
Well, after more than 100 years there are only 6 establishments which have remained until 2014 between the selected hotels, edition after edition. Between them of course is Hotel Continental which since the first edition has been selected among the best hotels in Spain, Portugal and France.
Among the rest of hotels are Hotel de Londres y de Inglaterra in San Sebastián, Hotel París in León, Hotel NH Victoria in Granada, Hotel Avenida Palace in Lisbon and Gran Hotel de Porto in Porto. Therefore, Hotel Continental is the only hotel in Barcelona that appears in the famous guide from the first to the last edition, the edition No. 104.

Disponible en 14 ediciones que dan cobertura a 23 países y vendida en casi 90 países, la Guía MICHELIN ha logrado atravesar años, siglos, épocas y modas.
Hotel Continental está orgulloso de formar parte esta historia, de estar entre un club selecto de hoteles. La primera edición de La guía MICHELIN España & Portugal se publicó en el año 1910. Sus 164 páginas recogían información de 61 hoteles y 159 localidades de España, Portugal y Francia.
Pues bién, después de más de 100 años solo hay 6 establecimientos que se han mantenido hasta 2014 entre los hoteles seleccionados, edición tras edición. Entre ellos por supuesto está Hotel Continental que desde la primera edición ha sido seleccionado entre los mejores hoteles de España, Portugal y Francia.
Entre el resto de hoteles se encuentran Hotel de Londres y de Inglaterra en San Sebastián, Hotel París en León, Hotel NH Victoria en Granada, Hotel Avenida Palace en Lisboa y Gran Hotel de Porto en Oporto. Por tanto, Hotel Continental el único hotel en Barcelona que aparece en la famosa guía desde la primera edición hasta la última, la edición núm.104.
