From 18th to 24th September will be held in Barcelona the festivities of its patron saint “La Merce”
This year with a special guest, the city of Buenos Aires that gives a totally cosmopolitan air to the festivities. Argentine artists will have a special participation in during the festivities.
Be highlighted that in the Parc de la Ciutadella, a DC9 aircraft in its interior will host all types of artistic and cultural activities.
The international presence includes companies and artists from other countries such as Japan, Italy, Finland and many more.
The Merce works with traditional art and culture groups in the space “Mercè Arts de Carrer“, a meeting of the Barcelona creativity. A tribute to the circus with the area “Rogelio Rivel” to dance with the company Thomas Noone Dance and Fura dels Baus among other activities.
As for the most important musical performances, in the center of Barcelona, at Plaza Catalunya, will act Alma Agrobeat Ensemble group led by guitarist Aaron Feder, the Belgian of Congolese origin Baloji, the latin jazz of The Jamboree Big Latin Band; the Colombian salsa La 33, the locals musicians Hotel Cochambre and, finally, the Ol’Green and Orchestra Silverware which this year celebrates forty years of life.

Del 18 al 24 de setiembre en Barcelona se celebran las fiestas de su patrona “la Mercè”
Este año con una invitada especial, la ciudad de Buenos Aires que le da un aire totalmente cosmopolita a las fiestas. Artistas argentinos tendrán una participación especial en el transcurso de los festejos.
A destacar que en el Parc de la Ciutadella, un avión DC9 acogerá en su interior todo tipo de actividades artística y culturales.
La presencia internacional abarca compañías y artistas de otros países como Japón, Itália, Finlandia entre muchos más.
La Mercé colabora con colectivos artísticos y de cultura tradicional en el espacio “Mercè Arts de Carrer”, punto de encuentro de la creatividad barcelonesa. Un homenaje al mundo del circo con un espacio “Rogelio Rivel” a la danza con la compañia Thomas Noone Dance y la Fura dels Baus entre muchas otras actividades.
