Barcelona Welcomes Pope Benedict XVI

An enormouse amount of police, Guardia Civil, and Mossos d’Esquadra will be on duty this weekend, due to the Popes visit. Benedict XVI will be in Barcelona on Sunday for the consecration of the Sagrada Familia, before visiting the new childrens hospital Nen de Déu, in the Maragall area. The Pope’s security will be over seen by the Royal security Force, the Vatican Police, the Air Force, National Police, Guardia Civil, Mossos d’Esquadra, and the Guardia Urbana, as well as fire crews and emergency medical staff.
